Yoga Nidra is a powerful practice of deep relaxation.
It uses the body's innate ability to go to sleep to relax the flow of thought and bring awareness into the Witness state, unconstrained by all the habits of judgement, resistance, and managing.
It is essential to set up a safe, quiet place where you are confident you will not be interrupted or disturbed. Lie down where you can most easily let go of any holding. Have feet and arms spaced wide enough that you will not be distracted by any rubbing against the body. If your low back needs support, place a pillow or rolled up towel under your knees. Wear comfortable loose clothing that will not distract your attention in any way.
This audio is 25 minutes long. You can set up in your bed if you wish to fall asleep during or after the session.
